Halmgaard is a free-to-play 2D MMORPG released on 28 November 2025. It combines classic pixel-art presentation with a modern cross-platform client: the same open world, characters and economy on Windows and macOS through the desktop client and on Android through Google Play.
Progress comes from playing, not from menus. You level through combat and exploration, train individual skills such as melee, accuracy and magic, craft runes, and push gear through a risk-based enchanting and blacksmithing system where a failed upgrade truly costs you. That tension is the heart of Halmgaard: high risk, high reward.
It is built for players who miss the golden age of online RPGs — social hunting parties, contested PvP zones, rare drops that mean something and a world where every corner hides a story.
