Blacksmithing

Upgrade tiers, odds and the ores each one costs.

"A true blacksmith doesn't pray for success—they forge it."

Blacksmithing is a core crafting skill that allows players to enhance their weapons, armor, and tools by upgrading their quality tiers. Mastering blacksmithing is essential for adventurers seeking to maximize their gear's potential. All players start with access to Basic Blacksmithing, allowing upgrades from Regular → Fine. Higher tiers require increased Blacksmithing Skill to improve odds and unlock smoother transitions.

Upgrade Tiers & Progression

Items can be upgraded through the following quality tiers:

Tier Item Shade Description
Regular ⚫ Standard, base-level gear
Fine 🟢 Slightly enhanced stats
Pristine 🔵 High-grade gear, notable boost
Legendary 🟠 Rare and powerful—true craftsmanship

Chance-Based Success

Upgrades are chance-based, with success odds increasing based on your Blacksmithing Skill Level. Failing an upgrade attempt consumes all materials used in the process, not including your item. The item you are attempting to upgrade cannot be downgraded to a lower item level tier.

Skill Levels & Odds (Example)

Skill Level Regular → Fine Fine → Pristine Pristine → Legendary
10 55% 25% 2%
20 62% 34% 8%
30 70% 44% 15%
40 76% 53% 20%

Required Materials

Each upgrade attempt requires materials that must be sacrificed. These include:

Ores:

Iron Ore – Used in all upgrades.
Gold Ore – Used in mid and high-tier upgrades.

Currency:

Gold Coins – A fee is paid for each attempt, increasing with tier.

Upgrade Costs

What one attempt costs, at any blacksmith. A failed attempt still uses all of it.

Regular → Fine 25 × Iron Ore Iron Ore · 2,500 Gold
Fine → Pristine 10 × Gold Ore Gold Ore · 30 × Iron Ore Iron Ore · 25,000 Gold
Pristine → Legendary 40 × Iron Ore Iron Ore · 20 × Gold Ore Gold Ore · 50,000 Gold

How to Blacksmith

  1. Visit a Forge or Blacksmithing Station in a town or camp.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use lesser items to practice and boost your skill safely.
  • Always have spare materials—failure is part of the process.
  • Legendary upgrades are risky—wait until you're high level!
